163b63b1c8 try to break pattern at scene changes to prevent merging pictures that 
don't belong together! this fixes the problem reported with
flcl-detc.avi. the conditions for this may need more tuning but seem
to work ok.

2ea18bbf61 improvements to detc filter: 
-> use of 8x8 blocks rather than 16x16 to better localize the search
   for interlacing. this helps detect interlacing in very small
   motions, e.g. mouths in anime.
-> removed some redundant conditions in the logic
-> looser condition for detecting lacing and more forgiving of slight
   mismatches between fields from the two telecine frames to make up
   for quantization noise in low quality encodes.
this code is still mostly experimental but probably better than the
old version, so maybe it should be backported to 0.90...?

33b62af947 Add the new -vf option wich is the same as vop in reverse order. 
Syntax is we decided, so you can give the nomes or not with both
vop and vf. vf take precedence over vop.

adc47d34a7 new version of the de-telecine filter, largely rewritten. should work 
much better. please report if there are any cases where the old one
worked better. the docs could also use some nicer formatting...

e68b46b244 - removed unused global 'handle' 
- added __builtin_delete() for cook (rp9 version at least)
- use OpenCodec2 when avaialble, 2nd param is codecpath (traced from rp8)
- fallback to i_bps=12000 when raGetFlavorProperty(1) fails (some rp9 cook flavors)
- disabled dlclose, caused memcorruption (FIXME)

bb4ceb735a experimental de-telecine filter. not documented or configurable yet, 
but defaults seem to work ok. may change drastically over the next few
weeks.

84cf8851d0 windows support and eleminating some 10ls. Win32 ATRC has audio artifacts, Win32 SIPR is just silent, but at least Win32 COOK works nice -- at least by me, on linux

705681b0db cleanup detection of various divx4 versions/alternatives 
allows mixing xvid with divx4/5linux libs

basic rule: -vfm odivx/divx4 and -ovc divx4 uses divx4/5linux/opendivx if
available, otherwise uses xvid (if divx4.h is available and xvid has
decore()/encore() functions).

7d11e17fb3 The code for converting RGB to YUV in bmovl is slow because it uses 
floating point arithmetic. The attached patch changes it to use integers
instead, giving about a 2x performance boost on animations.

8755d76ce2 This is a simple patch to change the alpha blending code in bmovl to use 
integers instead of floating point. It speeds it up by about 400%
meaning that it's now possible to apply alpha blending to a whole
1024x768 image on my 1266MHz PIII.

4ca05e0e33 halfpack now takes an optional argument, field, which tells it to keep 
only even lines (if 0) or only odd lines (if 1) rather than averaging
pairs of lines. this may be useful for slightly improving performance
or for dirty deinterlacing.

c69f138c48 Support the latest development code from XViD dev-api-3 CVS 
branch. Still compatible (at compile time) with the stable XViD code.

Adds :
- GMC, global motion compensation (gmc)
- quarter pixel motion estimation (qpel)
- B frames (max_bframes, bquant_ratio, bquant_offset)
- half-resolution U&V encoding (reduced)
- ?? (me_colour)

Based on a patch by Marco "elcabesa" Belli <elcabesa at inwind dot it>.


Also :
* renamed option "br" to "bitrate".
* renamed option "quality" to "me_quality" and defaults to 4 (fast and
  still not that bad).
* added option "4mv", was previously silently included in quality 4, 5
  and 6.

930cfcdbe2 - It fixes a small bug where a byte value is divided by 255.0 to convert 
to a float within [0.0, 1.0] and later multiplied by 256.0 to convert
back. This makes the luminance lookup table more correct, although the
visual difference is relatively small.

8c126714c5 Fixed a bug which would prevent proper parsing of floating point

18304c06fa bugfixes : 
- It seems the CONF_TYPE_SUBCONFIG array for the "mode" option eats
all other -xvidencopts parameters. With it it wasn't possible to set
the bitrate or in fact any other parameter beside "mode".
- xvidencopts_conf wasn't properly initialised for some of the
lines. Probably didn't cause bugs but at least this shaves a few gcc
warnings.
- Rewrote initialisation code & defaults according to
xvidcore/docs/xvid-encoder.txt in XViD CVS tree. Some of the defaults
where bad. Done with the help of Markus Liebl < lieblm at web dot de >

modified features:
- Changed "debug" default to 0. Use the "debug" flag to enable it.
- Changed the interpretation of "br" to be consistent with lavc (now
in kbits/s if <16000, else bits/s). Should be backward compatible.
- Now use "-xvidopts pass=(1|2)" instead of "-xvidopts mode=2pass-(1|2)".
- Use the "-passtmpfile" global option instead of a hardwired name.
- Use the same motion presets as XViD's vfw CVS code (which is the
source of the windows codec I assume).

coding style etc...:
- Use static variables instead of a big struct for individual options,
easier to initialize.
- [f]printf() ->> mp_msg()

added features:
- Added "lumi_mask", "mpeg_quant", "hintedme" and "hintfile" options,
all off by default.
